Determine the NDS and LRFD published design values and applicable adjustment factors for a cantilevered* outdoor deck. The deck joists are pressure treated**  Douglas Fir-Larch No.1  2x8’s spaced 24 inches on center and sheathed with 3/4 inch C-D grade plywood panels (joint-glued assembly). These members are subjected to dead and snow loadings. The deck is located in an area of high humidity (i.e. MC³ 19%).  The cantilevered joists bear on the narrow face of a 2x12 supporting beam.
